Bio
I was raised in a boxcar without electricity or running water in the remote wilderness of Northern California. This greatly influenced my imagination, creativity, and appreciation for my place in nature. My mom suffered from severe headaches. And when I was six she began to realize that I had a healing touch, soothing the mind and body. At that time neither of us fully understood that I was starting to sense and direct energies within the body. However, this was my first step along the path as a healer. Much later my formal training in Traditional Thai massage, Cranial Sacral Therapy, Swedish massage, and Reiki influenced how I view holistic healing.
My path as a healer wasn't always clear or easy though. Early childhood abuse eventually led to addictive substances at sixteen. Unhappy and uninspired, I wandered. And I was lost for several years. But, then a friend invited me to a Bikram Yoga class. I needed and instantly loved the mind body connection. The owner of the Yoga studio generously offered me unlimited classes for cleaning the studio mirrors. Her kindness may have saved my life. The compassion and clarity of Yoga brought me out of the dark and back on the path. And I never took those addictive substances ever again. Years of practice culminated in the decision to officially become a Yoga teacher in 2017. I will forever be grateful to the teachers and students who've shaped my personal Yoga practice. I must give special thanks to my incredibly nurturing husband, who has supported and encouraged me to follow this life of healing.
I eventually co-created Centralignment Therapy, a magical blend of massage modalities and other alternative therapies. These synergistic sessions are individualized, as there is a unique path for each person's journey to the heart of their healing and wholeness. The greatest reward in my practice is continually witnessing the healing process within myself and those around me.
